Scanner - any way to connect SCSI to MacBook Pro?

I have a 17" MacBook Pro and a MicroTek X6EL SCSI flatbed scanner. Obviously, there's no SCSI card in a MacBook Pro, so can anyone tell me if there's any way to use a SCSI scanner with a MacBook Pro? I kind of doubt it, but I thought I'd post this anyway, just in case there's some kind of adapter that can plug into the SCSI scanner and maybe a firewire or usb port on the MBP. (You never know if some genius out there has come up with a converter.) Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi;
Google "scsi to usb adapter" and you will come up with a number of them.Finding a driver to run the scanner could be a major problem!
