Just a note to those that have a combination of the above. I have the SGI plugged into a Number 9 card, which is a buggy piece of hardware, but the only native Mac card for the SGI. OS X (up to and including Jaguar) was able to recognize and use it with hardware acceleration off.
I upgraded to Panther yesterday and the SGI DOES NOT work. Those of you with the same combination of hardware take note. Panther doesn't appear to like the card and the SGI moniter displays an unusable gray screen. Additionally, if you have multiple moniters like I do, it'll trip out the Finder, and I'm seeing a lot of buggy Finder behavior too.
Looks like I'll have to cough up the extra $500 for a Multilink adapter in order to use it now...
