Size of desktop

I have a Quicksilver G4, and I did something that resulted in everything on my desktop increasing in size to about 1 1/2 times the usual size and I cannot figure out how to restore it to the ususal size. Help! Also, when I copy a music CD on my powerbook G4 and burn it, it will play just fine on Mac computers, but not on others and not in the CD player in my car. I do not know how to correct this, but it seems like I am not burning it the right way, or something similar. Bill
 
Are you burning the music with iTunes? Otherwise, if you're burning .mp3's for example, only a few CD players will read .mp3s (but most computers should). You can change icon size in Finder by pressing View -> Show View Options
 
as for the desktop, it sounds like you somehow resized it. just goto the system preferences, and click on the display pane icon. there you can change the screen resolution. try 1024x768.
