skype, messenger & amule dont work anymore

hello,

i installed and deinstalled *little snitch* yesterday, cr***ed some programms, installed this and that and installed parallel desktops ...

and something got very wrong somewhere in these few hours...

my messenger cant login anymore and tells me that the login or password is incorrect, which is just impossible...

further my skype is showing all messages in html code, which make it less fun to chat there, cause i cant read anything... reinstallation didnt help so far

and just now, i discovered that my amule dont open anymore... when i click it, it pops up for a second, the donkey hops up and down one time and thats it... then its gone again...

beside that, everything seems to be fine, even the parallels desktop works surprisingly well ...

any ideas what could be wrong ?

i think the problems started with the deinstallation of the little snitch, but i am not entirely sure, cause i did a lot of things in the same time.....
 
Could be (or the bad karma from the other actions...).
What is Console telling when these applications crash?
Repair permissions, and if that won't fix it, maybe apply the latest Mac OS X combo update for your architecture as that should repair issues within the system. (as it for sure doesn't sound like a few applications misbehaving now).
 
the repair permissions i did already, but it didnt help...... i just got plenty of Warning messages and it couldnt fix them....

the console says this for the messenger

ok, i solved the problem of the amule and the skype ..... both are working again...

when i copied the console text here, i realised that it is stuffed with hebrew letters, cause i changed the language also yesterday...

so, i changed the language back to english and voila........ amule and skype are back to normal !! :D

only the messenger still dont want to log me in... :confused:

anyhow, its very wired that the programs dont work anymore after a language change.... shouldnt do that i believe ...
 
aaaaaaaaaaahhhh, and now there is a new problem !!

the safari didnt like the language switch to english so much and is now showing everything in some crazy font.... craaaazyyyy font !!!

how can i change that ??
 
They left the radars show like that? Lazy programmers...

Did you add other fonts recently? Try turning them off. Turn everything you've added off, and enable them one by one if that kept it showing correctly.
 
hmmm...... its not really getting better...

i installed yasu and cleaned the font cache....... the safari is showing everything normal again... ::ha:: :)

then, i also installed onyx, hoping it could do someting that the yasu left out...

and now there are a few new *problems* ...

the finder doesnt show me the little symbols in the sidebar anymore... everything shows the same folder icon

further, i can eject my homefolder now .. :eek:

and i cant see my folders on the desktop anymore, only in the finder i see whats on the desktop and i cant drag and drop things from the finder straight to the desktop ... it works only at the desktop icon in the sidebar..

and my messenger is still not working (i even reinstalled it)

PLEASE HELP !!!!
 
ok, i performed cleaning-User-system and maintenance-rebuild sidebar- lauchservices-scripts and permissions and preferences in the onyX and now the little symbols of my sidebar are back and i can drag and drop to the desktop and i even see the folders again...

but, still my home folder dont show the little file vault icon anymore and it says .sparsebundle... whatever that means.... it definitely dont open...

i can only see my homefolder in the macintosh HD ... which is inconvenient.... and its not possible to drag it over to the finder sidebar...

and beside that, i found in that preferences list some remainings from the little snitch, which probably shouldnt be there cause i deinstalled it ...

??????
