Speed Download 2 question

Randman

HA! HA! HA!
I recently went for Speed Download 2 and enjoy it but it seems that it is causing a problem with iTMS.
When I try and purchase a song, I get error 500 messages. I contacted Apple support and they said a download manager could be causing the problem.
So, is there a way I can configure Speed Download 2 so that it doesn't interfere with iTMS, or is there a way I ca disable it when I do want to buy music without having to uninstall it and re-install it over and over again? Thanks.

That's news to me...
I have Speed Download 2 and never had a problem purchasing music from iTMS.
No problems on either of my Macs (see sig).

Error (500) messages generally indicate that something on your local network is keeping you from reaching some or all of the iTunes Music Store. Some of the more common causes are listed below.

If you are using any firewall software or proxy servers, they may interfere with your ability to access the Music Store. Please disable them before attempting to access your purchased music.

iTunes Music Store Engineering has determined that having web acceleration or filtering software installed will affect your ability to connect to, and download from, the iTunes Music Store. Please verify that all software of this nature has been disabled completely before attempting to connect to the iTunes Music Store.
The only thing I've done is add Speed Download 2 since the problem started.

In SD 2 Preferences there is a panel Sensitive Servers that might help. But you've probably found that by now...

I saw the panel but wasn't sure how that might help. I've e-mailed Apple back to see what else it could be.

From the Apple folks and it worked.

You may need to refresh your account information. Please follow the steps outlined below in order to refresh your account information.

First login to <http://myinfo.apple.com> with the account that you are using on the Music Store. Then modify your billing information and hit the save button. A simple modification would be to add a single blank space to the end of your address, or you can complete the change of credit card information from this page as well.

Once your myinfo page has been saved, please log back into iTunes and try to make a purchase. You should receive an error message stating that your billing information has changed, click review and you can either modify the information, or if you've already made the modifications on the myinfo page, simply hit save.

This should resolve the issue with your account and allow you to continue using your Music Store account.
