Speed up VPC 5 in OS X

Hi there,

does someone know how to speed up preformance in Virtual PC 5.0.4 in OS X using Win2000. There should be some Tools or cmd's for the Terminal to speed it up. But I'm not able to find it anywhere. I know I have read about that, but now I didn't found anything. If someone could help me about that it would be great.

You can change priority of VPC process, or make some tricks inside WIndows to make it run faster. I discovered that for speed problems you can blame ...graphic algorythms of VPC. Processing of requests does not take long, just drawing resoult on the screen is real pain. That's why you should:

-disable transition effects in Windows
-change (if possible) graphic mode to 256Colors
-create fixed swap file (for e.x. 512MB)

There are also quite lot of performance tips for apply into Windows, but still it's not sppeding up VPC5 but just tweaking W2K. Connectix team is aware of such low performance of their product, so - let's say - there's hope for future.
