Squiggly line appears under paragraphs in Word 2004
Just a plain black squiggly line across the whole page width which can be moved up and down slightly (click and move... pointer turns into the a kind of line selection tool: elongated = with a small arrow to and bottom) if the mouse cursor is allowed to hover above it.
This doesn't seem to happen on documents I have created but if I open a file from another user (same version of MSO 2004, but I'm using an Intel iMac 1.83 GHz and they are using an eMac.
It looks like it may be reporting a paragraph inconsistency, but I can find no way to get rid of it, except by opening the file in Pages and then exporting it as a Word .doc. Copy and paste to a new document has no effect. Changing the font doesn't do anything either.
What am I missing? I'm sure it must be a paragraph setting or, as mentioned, an inconsistency of some sort is being reported.
Any clues...
With thanks.
Anthony
