Start up disk almost full

It probably means that you're running out of hard drive space where your OS X installation is. Mac OS X needs some free space to operate correctly, so you always need a little empty space available on your OS X hard drive.

Try moving some of your larger documents to another drive or to a backup. Start with the music in your Music folder, movies in your Movies folder, or somewhere like that. Look for documents you have created (like PhotoShop documents, or movies) that are large and can be safely backed up.
