Still images to quicktime movie

Does anyone know of a free or shareware utility which will stitch together a series of photos to make a quicktime movie?

I am doing time lapse digital photography and want to make the finished shots into a movie file.

I've done this several times with iMovie. Imovie is NOT just for movie clips. You can create a slide show just from still photos, and work with the effects to give impression of motion, fading from one slide to the next, cations, adding custom sound tracks including narrations, etc., and etc. Way too many possibilities to even list here.
 
For anyone who's interested I found a way to do it using quicktime pro. Simply go to file and then "open image sequence".

Easy when you know how :)
