stop iphoto from automatically launching?

In iPhoto preferences there should be a place to choose it not to launche every time you aattach a camera etc to your mac. :)

The preference to launch iPhoto is not within the iPhoto app, it's in the Image Capture application. Open Image Capture, select Preferences, and change your setting there.
