Superduper! fails cloning, HDD now not seen in OS X

I have a Seagate Freeagent Go 1TB Ext HDD connected to my MBP via USB.
MBP is brand new running 10.6 Snow Leopard.

I had been currently using the disk with Time Machine and it was working well. I then setup SuperDuper! to backup to this drive also. According to my selections, it was supposed to be backing up alongside the TM backups and to leave them alone. The drive only had the one partition.

At this point I'd like to get the partition info repaired to get the drive and it's contents readable again.

When I connect the drive the MAC OS does not recognize it but in a Win7 VM machine it does see it under disk management.

I've tried Diskwarrior as well as DU in MAC OS but they don't see the drive and so cannot act upon it.

Are there any disk utilities that can be recommended that can see this drive at a low level and repair it's structure?

Search for Freeagent here. I think there's some info on formatting it for Mac if it did not come that way. I'm not sure if that's the case for you.

There's something a little different about those drives.
 
decided to just reformat and repartition x2 to house both SD and TM backups but isolated from each other this time.
