I'm developing a website using Apache/PHP etc on my G4, then when I'm done tweaking I have to upload (via 56k modem) to a rented virtual webspace by FTP.
What I want is a real quick way to upload and overwrite only those files that have changed, some of which could be buried in nested folders.
I've tried Fetch and Transmit using "mirror" techniques, but neither is really satisfactory. I also looked at iSync, but that is plain broken.
Is there a smarter way of doing this, any apps perhaps that you would recommend. I'm after the kind of upload strategy that Adobe Golive uses, you'll know what I mean if you use it, it knows what to upload because it remembers a snapshot of the previous upload and so doesn't have to get into lengthy "compares".
My lack of broadband is a serious motivating force in wanting a better solution here, but that won't be available in my area for a couple of years yet.
Regards
Zim
