Racer D
what?
I've had this problem with jaguar for some time (haven't tried on X.1) with downloading files on my home lan
i have dave installed but dunno if it is of any importance here
so i select Go/connect to server from the finder menu.
I select "cifs://pc_name" and connect. It asks for a password (which i dunno why too) and then promts to select which folders to mount. I select the folder movies and click ok. The mounted network disk icon appears on my desktop. then i drag a movie to my desktop from there in order to copy it. It works for some time (~200MB) then it stops. Everything is still as before, but it isn't making any progress (the size stays the same).
Then I cannot do anything with the system, i can move use programs (barely since mouse becomes funky), but not close/open any. The only thing that helps at this point is unplugging the power cable
Any ideas what could be causing the problem and how to fix it?
btw, i can download and upload files on pc from my mac without problems
problems on x.2.1, .2, and .3
iMac G4 700
pc: win2k
