UP_DP10 printer

Things have come a long way since I first asked about the UPDP10; I am now on 10.4.3 and was able to add the printer, create a desktop icon for it, and set it to 4 by 6 inch page size. But when I tried to print, from iPhoto 2.0.1, everything looked good - the information seemed to be going to the right place, but after it reached 100% in the UPDP10 window, nothing happened. I had just booted to 10.4 after using system 9 to print some photos on the UPDP10, for I knew it would work. Hopefully I can get it to work on OSX with your help.

I have had the EXACT experience (although I went to Sys 9.2.2 afterwards to make sure I could print with the OS 9 Chooser driver -- I could). Anyone have any ideas? I just downloaded Gutenprint and usbtb from SourceForge thinking that maybe I needed a newer GIMP-PRINT/CUPS printer driver ... but I am affraid to try this because there is no functional uninstaller for Gutenprint .... should I give it a try????
