upon startup- map to other machines?

is there any way upon startup can we set it to search for other drives on other machines???

i would like it to automatically map to my laptop drives...

so i dont have to manually tell it to find a server each time??


also if there is.. is there a way to set a time delay.. for eg.. if it cant find the server/drive within this time frame.. continue to log into system??

I hope I understand what you are looking for.

First: If you want a drive to mount at startup just first mount it (manually) and then then drop that drive/volume to System Preferences -> Login Items.

Second: The second thing can be done with Apple Script. Sorry to say I'm not really sure what you want plus I don't know the target disk/volume your trying to reach and at what time. However, with a little Apple Script knowledge and the targets you want, it can be done.
