Using an XBOX controller

Hello.
I was wondering if any of you have used an Xbox controller on your Mac, particularly using this driver:

If you have, would you recommend it's use for emulation (SNES9x, RockNES, KiGB, etc.)?

Also, could anybody recommend a controller for use in emulation? I've gone through 4 of them without finding one that works correctly with emulating old games (usually the direction pad sucks).

Thank you very much.

The Gravis Gamepads seem allright. The feel is a little flat on the directional pads, but they seem to suit the task well and are well made.

... do you really need to have a game pad for emulators?...

SNES has 8 buttons (excluding d-pad)
NES has 6
GameBoy has 4
and
GameBoy Advance has 6

a keyboard is more than efficient to play emulators

IMO it is a waste to buy a game pad just for emulators

True.
I see your point Jet.
However, it can be enraging to attempt to play a fighting game with a keyboard.

I see what you mean however about it being a waste of money...
