Wake from sleep can't eject

Some of the time when I wake up my iMac (probably like 4th time or in a day) the Eject key won't work. I have to log off, then the Eject will work. Then when I log back in it's fine again. Any ideas?
 
Is it just the eject button or also the software eject that doesn't work?
Did you try this over another account?

Sometimes software eject doesn't work either. Also, I am the only account on my computer.
 
Try to setup a new account and test it on that one. When you got your "results" you can delete it. At least this will prove, if it's a prob with your settings (which are default on a new useraccount). Tried repairing permissions?
 
I had the same problem on my iMac for a long time, for some reason it seems to have disappeared on its own with the recent upgrades...
