What does this mean???

I just installed and ran Temperature Monitor to see if I could obtain the internal temperature of my Powerbook G4 Titanium 1Ghz. After running and reviewing the System Information portion of the application, I noticed a variance between the two clock frequency values. The nominal clock frequency of the CPU is 1Ghz, however, the Clock frequency reads 667Mhz.

Does anyone know why these two are different? Does it mean my system in not running at its full potential?

If it is needed, I am running Mac OS X 10.3.9; Processor family is PowerPC PPC7450 version 3.3; 1GB RAM.

Thanks in advance!

I'm guessing that the 667 and 1 GHZ processors behave similarly, so the app assumes you have a 667. You could try another program to verify.

May also be a setting in Energy Saver - Processor Performance.
