What's going on here?

I've finished swearing at my computer and now I've decided to seek help. Every time my computer goes to sleep, all of my preferances are wiped a way when it wakes up. For example, Mail no longer recognizes my set up University e-mail account, so I have to set it up again. The dock is reloaded with the same preset items that come with Jaguar (Sherlock, QuickTime, etc). Is this a virus? I just checked w/ Norton AntiVirus and nothing shows up.

Anyone have an idea of what's up?

BTW, it's an iBook with 10.2.4

how full is your drive? having prefs wiped is often a sign of too little free space on your boot drive. the swap files will overwrite them. you need to have at least 10-15% free space. if you are running photoshop or similar large memory app a lot, this is particularly known to contribute to this issue.
