I know that Snow Leopard won't support ppc processors but does that also mean that I'll have to find a replacement for the legacy programs that still run in PPC mode?
I think I remember hearing somewhere, that when installing Snow Leopard you have the option of installing Rosetta which I guess would mean yes it does support PPC programs.
That's correct, icemanjc. Rosetta is an optional install in Snow Leopard. However, this is also a good opportunity to see if there are any Intel-ready apps one could use alternatively to older PPC-only ones.
I would like to get rid of Rosetta but unfortunately I have several data base's set up in Apple Works, and until I find a way to transfer these data files I'm stuck.
