    Horrid Safari Scroll Bug

Nope, sorry. Not on my computer. I can be nearly at the top of the page on a page like this, scroll up and Safari will jump all the way down to the very end of the page. Nice theory though. If you want to control your scroll speed get USB Overdrive (http://www.usboverdrive.com). According...

Complete newbie lookin for a Mac

Hmmm... I think KrinkleCut is right. Seems like too big of a cost with too little benefit for Apple. Inventory & redesign headaches just for bluetooth & Airport Extreme after only a couple months on the market? All the other important guts are already up to date. Doesn't seem likely they'd...

    Wireless keyboards and mice...

Nah, just leave that up to Apple. Have you noticed how much thinner Apple's Pro Mice cords are than normal USB cords? They could make it slick I'm sure. Just a thin cord with a proprietary plug on one end to stick in the mouse. You gotta 'Believe'! :D I have no idea what they're actually...

New Macs real cheap "is it for real"

Check out this price reduction estimate they put up on their page -- apparently this is what the resellers are going to strip out of their deals to give applepurchaseprogram a lower cost: There is NO WAY that ANY memory bundled with a Mac costs the resellers $400. The retailer would only...

    Wireless keyboards and mice...

Right, so a mouse with a USB port on the wireless mouse so you could optionally connect it that way would solve that, right?

    Wireless keyboards and mice...

Oh yeah, and a keyboard with similar features except also a power cable (better that USB for laptop users because you can just set your laptop down and start using your keyboard without having to plug or unplug anything) or else a VERY long battery life.

    Wireless keyboards and mice...

What if you could have everything? :D How about a wireless 2-button scroll mouse using bluetooth to talk to your Mac's internal bluetooth module and with a discreet port for a thin USB cord (so you could plug it in if you wanted to), and removable lithium-ion batteries so you could either...

No wonder the 23" Cinema Display is so cheap!

Here's a real interesting article about the rumored reason why Apple was able to cut the price on the CinemaHD so much: http://www.envestco2.com/macwhispers/0000022.html The prices for the flatpanels are really awesome right now, and it sounds like it will keep getting better for Mac users! :)

    itunes

You also have to be connected to the internet for iTunes to contact the CD Database (CDDB). Are you connected when you put the CD in? Also, try choosing "Get CD Track Names" from the Advanced menu while connected. Hope that helps.

Ideas on sending keystrokes to Classic?

Hmmm... I wonder if Keyboard Maestro could be made to do the trick. (http://keyboardmaestro.com/ - the Lite version is free for up to 20 shortcuts or something like that.) You might be able to program Keyboard Maestro to do a 2 step shortcut: 1. Switch to Roger Wilco 2. Type keystroke 3...

Hmm... OK thanks twister. So it does happen to other people! Hooray! Er.. I mean.. that's too bad. ;) Ricky, does it do it in any other app or just safari? Thanks for the help. So so far we know it happens with a Logitech MX700, an MS Intellimouse Optical and a Wacom Graphire with the...

Complete newbie lookin for a Mac

Apple supports the open source movement! Need I say more? :D Examples: OS X is Unix, Darwin source code is available for all, Safari is based on open source KHTML and KJS and improvements are being sent back to the community, and Apple has created an very good X Window System for OS X...

Resellers sue Apple over sales tactics

So has Apple just been finding good spots for their stores or have the been determining which of their retailers sell the best and then locating a new store near them and cutting their legs out from beneath them?

    Horrid Safari Scroll Bug

LOL!!!! :) OK thanks for trying it out for me though Twister. That's really weird -- I can't believe it's just my computer... I'll have to try trashing all my Safari preferences again I guess. I wonder if some system tweak I've done could be affecting it... but it's weird that it would only...
