    CardBus wifi solution for macs!

What router do you have? You can't get 108 mbit/sec with anything other than the compatible D-Link G 108 mbit/sec router... I have heard that the OrangeWare drivers work great...but I'd try it with AirPort drivers first, then the OrangeWare.

iMac DV+ Nearing Death Need Help Getting it Running Again

Yep, ElDiabloConCaca's right - the usual culprit with those issues is the PRAM battery - it's a 3.6V 1/2 AA battery, available at Radio Shack.

Never, ever, ever use a gif or a jpg in anything that is going to be printed. Ever. "pallets" = Palettes, i.e. the thingies with icons. 1 - What sort of files are you placing in Quark? 2 - Select the box. Open the color palette in Quark - see if the box is selected to be filled with...

comcast cable - no access on my mac - help!

Yep, I agree with Bob. Don't use the cd. It's useless. Self-install worked perfectly here, just as Bob said: Ethernet Configure using DHCP. I added the DNS numbers that my router acquired from the modem and no problems at all (except when they're doing an equipment/services upgrade) here...

iMac DV doesn't detect 3rd party ram :((

PC133 RAM is backwards-compatible. It'll just run at PC100 instead of PC133. First, make sure the RAM is fully seated - pull it out and push it in again, firmly. Then, hold down Command-Option-O-F on restart (Open Firmware prompt) Type: Reset-NVRAM (hit return) Reset-all (hit return)...

What is this cable doing in the box?

It's standard with all Apple USB keyboards. It's a keyboard cable extension. Look at the end of your keyboard cable - it has the corresponding notch.

OSX SCSI & scanner recognition problems

Ummm...actually, it seems that SCSI itself is an issue in Panther. Apparently, also, Adaptec's 29xx line is unsupported (even though it says the driver is loaded), and will not be supported at any time, under Panther. Something about a ROM issue, I think...I read it somewhere in Apple's Support...

    i broke my sawtooth 400 :(

Cool - way to go! Enjoy it. Remember: the Mac is MUCH easier to use. Someone said it took him a while to get used to the Mac when he switched because he kept trying to do everything the hard way. When he thought "how would I do it the easy way" he got it right!

    PCI USB 2.0 Cards

Don't have a clue - what I posted is all macintouch.com had posted - that it was a CompUSA brand 5-port USB 2.0 card. You'll have to get acidtuch10 to tell you what the part number is - if he still has the box, that is ::ha::

    PCI USB 2.0 Cards

This one is, according to the forums at www.macintouch.com: I had a generic (CompUSA labeled) 5-port USB 2.0 PCI card in my G4, which I moved to my G5 (2x2) a week ago. The card functions perfectly, syncing my Palm, accessing my CF card reader, printing, and controlling lights via X10...

    PCI USB 2.0 Cards

10.2.8 and above has support built in for USB 2.0 PCI cards. And they run at high-speed. I have a SIIG 5-port USB 2.0 card in my B&W, natively supported by 10.3.2. In 10.2.7 and below, you have to install a driver for the card to work in high-speed. USB 2.0 isn't supported by OS 9, either...
