What version of OS X are you running? Do you have Airport software installed? If so, it should recognize the Orinoco - it uses the same chipset as the Airport card.

It doesn't seem to want to install over a USB connection and I don't want to take it apart (mine's in a LaCie external firewire/USB case) to make it an internal drive just for the firmware update. Especially since this is a piece of work equipment, not personal.

The CUDA button on the beige is back left on the mobo....if you have PCI cards installed, you have to use a pen or something to push it.

Most ATA controller cards will report as SCSI (and any attached drives as SCSI). It's normal; don't worry about it.

You're not wrong; there was a firmware update. I applied it early in the process. All is working quite well now...next step is to enable WEP :D

Okay, I got the thing to work. I had to play with the default settings (RTS and Fragmentation) in order for it to receive an IP address. I lowered the numbers until it worked and all is good. Thanks for responding so quickly, Brian.

I gave myself a static IP exactly like my dynamic IP addresses, just .111 instead of .109 (the highest dynamic IP assigned). I don't have WEP turned on; I wanted to get everything working properly first.
