Thanks GraphicUmp, i ended up getting a LG GGC 4320B, cdwr/DVD. I needed to use toast to burn CD as burning from the finder or iTunes isnt supported (yet)

Same here. Chimera #1, Safari #2. Chimera is a top class browser, the only suggestion i would have, is for the download manager to ignore images when saving them.

Hi, i just got a DVD drive, so when macos X was installing it didnt install the DVD player, as there was no DVD drive present at the time. So can someone please tell me where i can find the DVD player software on the macos X CDs. thanks

Well that won't be for good few years yet. Linux is great ....my second favourite OS but i cant see my ganny installing it for some time to come. Besides I think Linux is more of a threat to Microsoft than to Apple.

I got gimp to work, thank to Sogni, but when i open a picture in Gimp, the whole picture is black. Anyone know how to fix this ?
