128 AAC is equivalent to 192 MP3 isn't it? And a smaller file size too. I haven't d/l anything from the music store, do they come as AAC?

If Jonathan Ive had anything to do with the design of the new iMac it will be breathtaking - guaranteed. Something none of us had thought could be possible. The previous 2 designs were revolutionary, the 3rd won't be any different. The man is a genius.

jobson_ski, thanks for that link to the BBC website regarding NTL increasing their speeds by 50%. I wasn't aware of this. Hope they go ahead with it!

I'm with NTL on 600k connection for £24.99/mth. Again, no problems in over 2 years. Never once had to call them and never had any fault or drop in service on the line. When I first connected to them they didn't support OSX, but they might now, I don't know. I now have two macs networked...

For tunes already ripped I don't know. But when you rip a CD there is an option in the advanced menu to join CD tracks. I think this works

Can you change the permissions on the itunes music library to 'read only' or 'no access'. That way they can still play CDs through iTunes but can't rip/download etc. and add to the library. Just an idea
