    Steve Jobs on Longhorn

within that article it mentioned what the minimum requirements for Longhorn will be: 4GHz Pentium 640MB RAM (1GB recommended) 80 GB HD (160GB recommended) Seems quite excessive and would probably put alot of people off because they would need to upgrade their hardware too, unless in 2 or...

Who is using more than 4 GB of RAM ?

We had a Commodore Vic 20 that came with 8kb as standard. My dad added another 8kb by adding a cartridge the size of a VHS video into a slot on the top. We thought we were cool lol :) I too am in my mid 20's

How long did it take you to install Panther?

Took about 45-60mins on my 600mhz G3 iMac. Did a clean install, but without all foreign languages, unecessary print drivers etc. Just bare minimum. Thought it was quicker than 10.2 though.

    Spy Ware?

Adobe products 'phone home' too. There is a beta application called macscan that scans your mac for any spyware, trojan horses, keystroke loggers etc and deletes them. I tried it once - it didn't find anything. Get it here: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/17436

    Isp For Mac Users

I'm in the UK and using NTL Broadband 600k. When I ordered it they said that it would work with OS X but they don't support it. I've not had a minutes trouble with it, you just plugged the modem into the ethernet port and thats it.

Hi there, and a big HI to all UK Mac users, we are very few and far between!! I have Panther and would recommend it to anyone. I upgraded from Jaguar and noticed a quite impressive speed difference immediately, so if you're upgrading from 10.1 it'll feel like a new computer!! I haven't had a...

What will be introduced at MacWorld SF?

Has absolutely nothing been leaked about shape, specs, etc of the new iMacs?? I'm quite excited about the prospect of Apple re designing the iMac, more so than I was about the new G5. I was gonna be buying an iMac in the New Year but think I'll wait now for the new ones. One things for sure...

    Initial WiTunes thoughts

I've just Emailed all my PC owning friends the link to the download and told them how great it is and that they won't look back if they give iTunes a go, and asked them to then pass it on. If everyone passes it on and informs another 10 people and so on then iTunes will soon rule the world...
