I wouldn't get your hopes up, there's a nearly zero chance of seeing G5 powerbooks announced at MWSF. 2nd half of this year, perhaps?

Just curious - where did this info come from? I'm guessing not from Thinksecret, as they're just reporting the $500 machine a few days ago, and the lawsuit occurred several weeks ago... And besides CNN I believe they're the only ones to report on this?

Incidentally, they now have. I wonder if it was pressure from the fact that competitors had info on their sites, or genuine altruism?

When? Not yet. 8A323 is still too buggy/unstable for me to use day-to-day, even on non-critical stuff. There's also the brand new problem I have that I'm sure the tech reviewers will be complaining about: I just don't see a "killer" reason to upgrade. Spotlight will probably be nice...

The original Mario 64 cart was 8MB, if I remember correctly.

What about people that bought iPods because they own a Mac? Chances are I never would have gotten one if it wasn't for ol' MacDaddy (name of my system at the time) at home...

I'm actually talking about the G5 iMac, the 2.0Ghz G5 at work runs great (though I don't remember the CPU temps offhand - seems to me they stayed in the 50s. This makes me even more worried tho. The temperatures reported are definitely in Celcius - if I switch to farenheit the temps become...

Have you other folks that have gotten the G5s been paying attention to your temperature in this system? I started monitoring it after some crashing problems I had when I installed some new memory (though hardware check repeatedly passes this memory fine, naturally, the system is very unstable...

...I meant, of course, hook my computer or iPod or whatever *up to the stereo* in the room in some way. Or with headphones. =)

As the topic says, does anyone know if any company has put out some sort of Airport Extreme controller yet? I figured someone would have come out with one by now. For me (and many, though definitely not all, other people), using iTunes to control the Extreme would be ridiculous. If I wanted...
