    Some Java Questions

thank you, nkuvu. :) Perhaps you're right, but my compiler gives me an error, saying it can't access the package and that the class file (that calls it) contains a wrong class name (which it doesn't, not at as I can see at least). Are you sure this is the right way to do it? Am I the one...

    Some Java Questions

I have some Java questions which I hope someone can answere. :) 1: I have two windows (so far) in my program, and they are in the same folder (package). I was thinking of moving one of them into another folder. Let's say I did that, and got these folders: MyProgram/Window and MyProgram/Color...

Embedding uptime into terminal welcome message?

I opened the loin file (becuase I wrote something wrong the first time) and I saw it. The perl-sentence is actually pretty logical (at least when you know what it does.. :)) I recognised the "\n" form other programming languages, but it was the ">>" that confused a bit. I get it now. Thanks...

Embedding uptime into terminal welcome message?

I thought about that, but it will only work for me, not for the other users. But doesn't the shell have some sort of main-defaults file that it reads from? Can the script be placed there? Kris

Embedding uptime into terminal welcome message?

This question is a bit like the one above.. I want the /etc/motd file to greet every user when they open their Terminal window. I wrote a small script that handles this, but when I put it into the /etc/motd, I see the whole script when I open a Terminal window, even though the compilation...

    Alcatel speed touch

I use an Speed Touch ADSL modem from Alcatel, and I have never had any problems with it (and Mac OS X) all at. How come you need to install a driver? I never installed that. I simply used the TCP/IP, PPPoE from the Network in System Preferences. :) Kris

    Java and main thread error

Thank you both for your replies. :) But I'm still a bit confused, so I'll ask again: Let's say my program's name was MyProgram, and I decided to use almost the same name as a packagename: "My.Program". What does that actually mean, two directories, one called "My" and another one inside...
