Does the security updater still mess up the Apache Webserver?

I only need QT Pro to watch movies on fullscreen and to locally save qt movies which are embedded into webpages. i don't understand why they can't include these 2 functions into the normal qt version (not pro).

its also the most annoying bug for me. does anybody know whether this is fixed in 10.1.5 or 10.2?!

No, but i searched for it using Sherlock (I also searched for it as a invisible file). The disk space is also the same as it wuz before i copied the file, so i guess its really gone :( I just wonder how this could happen. Im glad I did copy the file and not move it.

im having the exact same problem wit my imac 500dv se and my stereo :( its not a ground loop, ive had this problem already and fixed it. but that other disturbing noise is still there.

I don't think that renaming a file in .app will cause an error. I've messed around a lot with file/folder extensions in X, just to c what will happen. Like if you name a folder "folder.rtf", it will not show up as a folder but as a RichTextDocument. The AIM/ICQ Chat client proteus uses this...

Last night I copied a large (360 megs) file over to my brothers iMac, using AppleTalk over TCP/IP. After the file transfer wuz complete, the file suddenly disappeared. We've been searching the entire HD for it, but it seems like the file is gone. I don't know what happened, maybe someone else...

Nothing... i wuz just wondering. I'm not gonna try it out as i don't want to mess up my system.

if i assign the file extension ".app" to a application or whatever? will the system ever be able again to launch any apps or will i have to reinstall os x?!?

I can't c the blue scrollbars. Neither on my mac nor on my PC :confused:

its not possible to hit apple + "~" on german keyboards, because the "~" tilde is a special key on the german keyboard ( we have to press alt+n if i remember it right... im currently on a pc..) apple shouldnt forget thinks like that...

BTW, how can i scoll down in man - pages? i can only c the first page. when i try to scroll down using the arrow keys, nothing but a system beep happens.:confused:

Can I use my old OS 9 fonts in MacOS X? I mean, can I just drag the OS 9 fonts over to the OS X System folder into the fonts folder? Or won't that work?

i don't think that windows can defrag shared file systems.
