I've just performed a clean install of OS X (10.1.2) and all day today I've been trying to access software update and it keeps saying that my software is up to date. Is this a known problem at the moment or just me? I've deleted the prefs in my user/library folder as well to no avail.

I burnt 400mb onto a CD-R and selected write session on the record dialog. How do I carry that on? In Nero in windows, I insert the CD and Nero scans it (usefully detecting any changes in the files) and lets me carry on with the remaining space. What's the equivalent in Toast?
