If you are looking for something free, you could install Inkscape via fink. It dosn't have all the features of Illistrator, but it is still very useable, and hey, it's free. :)

I don't know how much of it was made avalabe. I do know that NT was built and based on a OS that M$ bought out, but not before it went opensource. So there is a good chance that between the two, a majority of windows is know at a great risk of getting hacked. Also, m$ has said in the past...

btw, if you'r running an imac lcd, the screen might be funky (off centered). To counter that, just update the system to the latest version, and it should be fixed.

If you feel up for a chalange, and don't mind spending days installing it, gentoo is great. You just have to be prepeared to go to the fourms at their site for help, and actualy follow the directions. it takes a while to install, and it doesn't have a GUI installer, you do it all by hand, but...

still there are other virtual machine emulators that would have done the job on the G5. alot of them would have been free to if he felt like installing linux on it.

No problem. It could have been worse. A friend of mine minibranded their hand, and heated it WAY too hot. They burn away almost all of the skin they had, and got to spend some time in the ER, and have their parent's yell at them...

I don't see any sign of infection... swealing, or off-colour stuff. It looks fine (minuse the pain, and bleeding). If it gets redder, or you notice wird colour fluids, then you need to go to a doc ASAP. But it looks fine right now.
