Clean install and going strong...

When you think your login screen is there, type the first letter of the username that you are wanting to log in as. Then, press enter. At this point you can enter in your password. Hope this helps.

I tried that and it didn't work. It was very simple in jaguar to connect to the windows machine. All you needed was to go int "connect to server" input the ip address of the windows machine on the wireless netowrk and poof you are there, that doesn't work in panther for me, why? I thought...

I am having trouble seeing a windows machine on the wireless network in my home. If I log onto the windows machine localy I can view the mac in the workgroup computers section of my network places, however I am not able to do anything from the mac in terms of connecting the windows machine...

Acutally cat, I am glad to say that I am a switcher...I think I have found my new home...new user as of Jan. of this year and see no reason to go back! Glad to be away from windows!!!

They show up but as if they were offline. I have tried deleting some of them and re adding them, but they still show up offline.

Yes, I have gone through the setting many times. Everything is set up how is should be. I have unistalled it and reinstalled it several times, but nothing. It is extremely puzzling to me.

I am using the beta version of ichat. I use my aol screen name to log into ichat, but when I do that there aren't any of my buddies logged in. The thing is they are logged in when I am on aol, so I log out of aol and into ichat, nothing. Can anyone give me an insight to this problem.
