MS windows and panther on a wireless network?

I am having trouble seeing a windows machine on the wireless network in my home. If I log onto the windows machine localy I can view the mac in the workgroup computers section of my network places, however I am not able to do anything from the mac in terms of connecting the windows machine. Nothing shows up as available...can anyone help?

Open "System Preferences" and click on the "Sharing" pane. From there, you will probably want to check "Personal File Sharing" and "Windows File Sharing." Does that help?
 
I tried that and it didn't work. It was very simple in jaguar to connect to the windows machine. All you needed was to go int "connect to server" input the ip address of the windows machine on the wireless netowrk and poof you are there, that doesn't work in panther for me, why? I thought panther was supposed to make things like this better.
