If I understand you correctly, then my eMac as it is does have the capability to install Leopard? It appears to have enough memory. However, without adding more memory (I am loathe to drag a fifty-pound machine into the closest Apple store), would Leopard slow the eMac down greatly?

To conclude the problem of Burning my documents to CD, I ultimately just got a backup program, specifically Chronosync. It seems to work well. Thanks for everyone's responses attempting to help with this annoying problem, it is really appreciated when one isn't a computer expert. Sparrowhawk.

My Operating system is 10.4.11. I should point out that the stop sign only appears when I use the select all from the menu. If I control-click each item separately, I can move them all into a disk. But this is time consuming, and I'm puzzled that they won't be moved if I use the "select all"...

Using the Cmd/Mouse drag was the first thing I tried. The icon doesn't respond to this, only shows the options for using Chronosync. It did work on that American flag icon a few days ago, however. Anything else we can try? Thanks, Sparrowhawk
