    DVD Burning Tips

I guess I must add that all of those DVDs I burned copies of were mine to begin with, and I only did it for backup purposes while exercising my consumer's rights. I presume that this statement should put me in compliance with this server's policy on copyrighted materials... DK

    DVD Burning Tips

Hey, cockney, I've got a follow-up question about that: I recently recorded several DVD-Rs using Toast. All of them work fine in DVD-players (I tested those discs on mine and my friend's players, different brands, both worked). They also play fine on my Mac (the one I used to record)...

That's the thing, you're right, they are all Win. Right now I'm trying to convert one of my South Park .RM files to MPEG format using a program called "EO Video". That is one hell of a slow program. I'm doing it on a different computer, a PC, but was wondering if there's any way to do it on my...

Do favicons work on OS X server?

I created a favicon that works when hosted on Windows server, but doesn't appear when moved to OS X server. Is there a solution to this, or does OS X server just not support this feature at all? Thanks, dk

How reliable is running OS X from external HD?

I have a G4 running OS 9, with decent processer and lots of RAM. But the hard drive is only 9 gigs. No space for OS X with all the projects and stuff. Rather than getting another internal drive, I want to get an external one, and install OS X on it. Would it be ok to boot from this...

how can I increase app memory in OS X?

The application act as if it needs more memory. If I control-click the application icon and choose "get info", it shows under "memory" tab that "suggested size" and "preferred size" text boxes are greater than "minimum size". But it wouldn't let me change the number in "minimum size" text...
