Is there any app out there I can check two folders if they got exactly the same files? FileBuddy can compare only files but I need folders to compare. Thanks for help

I simply wanna burn a CD! No matter AUDIO or DATA. My CDRW drive is 3 years old (same as my G4 400). When I hit RECORD Toast shakes a bit and shows Code Error -50.

I got the same Code error-50 with Toast 6.0.3 and 10.3.1!!

I installed Panther on partition beside OS9. In OS9 Toast 5.0.2 works OK but in Panther I get Error Code -50 if I wanna burn a CD? What is an issue?? Is it Panther 10.3.1 or Toast 6.0.3?? Am I the only one with the problem? Please give an advice. Thanks so much

vedor is ADVANCE and looks like it is not in existace anymore. Do I realy need to buy new SCSI controller to switch Panther??!

I installed Panther yesterday but I cant mount my external SCSI HD. Panther doesnt even see my ADVANCE 2911 SCSI controller in my G4 400. Any new advice??

Thanks guys for all posts. Beside old 400MHz I also own TiBook 1GHz so I know OSX (Jag) pretty good. I just wonder if my G4 400Mhz is ready to go Panther and get better results than with OS9. You answer my Q and I really thank you all

I have 756 or so Mb RAM... I just wonder if my machine will be still as usefull as it is in OS9 after Panther...I know that my machine is old but in OS9 runs OK...I really wish to try Panther though

Hi, Panther experts I have G4 400 Gigabit ethernet with OS9 installed. It works OK. Can I expect this machine to run faster with Panther or not? That is Panther vs. OS 9.1 as far as speed for apps like ProTools, Cubase, MS Office, Corel, iTunes etc., etc... Thanks for answers

I am running ADVANCE 2911U SCSI contoller in my G4 Gigabit Ethernet 400MHz with OS9.1!! Since I am planning to switch to Panther I try to find OSX driver for that SCSI card but no luck. Can anybody share any advice?? Is there a substitute driver or something?? I cant find Advance home page....am...

I am planning to install Panther on another partition or even on another HD. Currently I am running OS 9.1! I wonder how to startup from another (Panther) partition or harddisk. Will Panther allow me to install in on a slave HD??? thanks

Thanks guys for all your help. The purpose of RD function in for one small app that wants to perform it in OSX. Since I dont have OS9 on my system I am trying to find cover up version in OSX. Looks like no success. Thanks anyway.
