    Remove Help from contextual menu

With respect. i'm not interested in debating or justifying why I wish to do it. I'm simply ever-so-politely asking if someone would be willing to share any knowledge they might have as to how it could be done. I should add that I recall reading somewhere that it is possible, but it may be a...

Does anyone know of a way to do this? I'm sure I've heard it's possible.

what is the best 3d application for mac?

I use Cinema 4D 8 on a 15" iMac with 512 ram and am pretty happy with it, but a bigger screen would be nice. Of the many free & useful plugins available most will run on the mac, and as C4D files are text-based they're truly cross-platform. ElectricImage currently comes bundled with a free iBook.

    Setup for Only One User

Thanks - I run Netbarrier, and am occasionally subjected to "Ping Flooding" when on the web. Whoever's out there goes on the permanent stoplist. For those of us initially drawn to the Mac by its ease of use passwords are a big step backwards. After 7 months with a blank password I've had no...

Drive 10 - waste of money?

In my humble experience DiskWarrior is king. Several times Drive 10 has found problems (Volume Wrapper, etc) and gone belly-up. Running DiskWarrior from classic saved me every time. Great that it's now here for OS X. And Norton? Master of Illusion.

    Setup for Only One User

I'm a single-user with a desktop machine & dialup connection, but I felt like a CIA employee in my own home with all this password fluff. Some exdellent soul posted this somewhere a while back - it suits my purposes perfectly: "Tired of Logging In? Many people have complained about having to...

    Missing Services In Finder

I'm running 10.2.5. When the Finder is the frontmost app Services is there as a pulldown menu option but the submenus have disappeared. Not greyed out, just nothing there. I THINK they were there before. Any help gratefully received.

    10.2.5 slower than 10.2.4

You can repair permissions on the ACTIVE startup disk in 10.2.5 - at least it seems you can. Saves booting from a CD or second drive. 10.2.5 runs fine on my old G3 400.

    What religion are you?

I think Woody Allen once described himself as a Devout Pervert. I rather like that.

Problem with osX and photoshop 7.0

Hmm....I've used Pshop since '92 and I didn't know that spacebar/hand trick. Thank you! So I just tried it (OS X 10.2.5, iMac DV 400 512 ram, Pshop 7.0.1) and it worked fine. Good luck to you.

    Relinking

Well thanks for that. I use Maintain to perform Cron tasks. Occasionally I run Prebind from Maintain. Most apps prebind successfully, but a few don't, e.g. Itunes & Wacom tablet driver display the message quoted in my first post. Maybe I'll reinstall them from scratch and see what happens. Any...

    Relinking

When I run the terminal's prebind command I get a message for some apps which includes the text "update prebinding - redo prebinding - prebinding can't be redone because larger updated load commands do not fit (the program must be relinked). " Anyone know if this is an issue which affects...
