well the problem is that because of that .. my Startup Disc is always full with reserved 180GB of data ;-) yes i think you are right .. because somehow the issue did solve itself .. but now its back again. resync the disc completly also solve it, but well resyncing almost 6000 files is pain...

i have a very strange issue with my idisc .. df -h shows: /dev/disk2s2 215Gi 215Gi 179Mi 100% wich means the idisk is 215GB Big ... wich is not possible as i have only 20GB on .mac ;-) i dissabled sync already and reestablished a new disk .. but the same thing is happening...

do you habe hotmail plus ? if not it wont work with most hotmail/msn/live accounts as M$ try to sell the pop connector in plus accounts.

how many adresses you try to import ? i had the same problem before (with 10.3 or so) but its comes up that the importer does not any task-controlling .. so the application apears to be frozen ... (this was happen as i try to import about 4000 vcards)

if you canot set the default application you may have a limited account ?!? try Right click ( [ctrl]+-click-) and select "open with" .. browse for ms excel and select "always use this application" this have the same effect as selecting the app in the info window and click to "change all"
