Can someone give me some tips as to how I could go about file sharing between Windows XP and Mac OS X.1 !:)

Hello, A friend's computer (Titanium G4) with 9.1 cannot enable file sharing. Whenever he clicks the Start button, about 2 seconds pass and the uninformative error message appears. "File sharing cannot be enabled" Their is no why, how, or suggestions. Has anybody seen this problem?

As everyone has probably figured out by now, computers with OS 9 can access OS X file sharing. That's easy to set up. I had a problem that i couldn't use my server while using X. I read the FAQ's and all, and set up Appleshare IP, and now, my X can access my file server. Tip just in case...

I cannot seem to file share with older macs or macs with os 9 that are not running afp. Does anyone have any ideas?
