AI 10 and printing to Preview

So, I tried to print to Preview in AI 10 and it doesn't do it. It just thinks about it for a second and then fires up the Print Center and trys to send it to my printer...

Is this happening to anyone else?

What do you mean by "print to Preview"? Are you talking about printing to PDF?

ya, printing to PDF. Pressing the 'Preveiw' button in the print dialog box instead of the 'Print' buttom. I know that you can save an AI doc in PDF format, but printing to Preview is a nice and fast way to get a quick PDF and send it off to someone...

Yeah, that happens to me too. But if what you want to do is save it to a PDF, there is a simpler way: Just go to the "Output options" section of the print window and click the "Save to file" Check box. Viola! Instant PDF, without even launching preview.

ya, i export pdf's from AI all the time, I just like the Print to Preview option in OS X. it is super useful.

Complaint/Suggestion has been submitted to Adobe. They need to have a 'Wishlist' sort of thing like Macromedia ( i.e. wish-flash@macromedia.com)
