Apple mail and Yahoo mail account problems

I opened a Yahoo mail account through my internet provider Frontier.com. I can send and receive email on my iPhone (15 pro, IOS 17.0.3) but using all of the same account information Apple Mail will not put the Yahoo account online so I can't send or receive on my MacBook Air 15", Ventura OSX 13.6. I cannot figure out why it will work on the phone but not the laptop. Can anyone please help with this?
 
Yahoo and Apple Mail does not like each other. Haven't in a long time. I have reverted to using Webmail for my Yahoo account on my iMac.
 
Good question that I do not have an answer to. Yahoo does not work on my iPhone, but then I haven't tried lately to play with it.
 
and the Frontier.com email address has always worked on my laptop as well as the phone. Only since a week or so does it not work on the laptop. The mysteries of tech.
 
I did set it up in Apple Mail using the Yahoo "button" for an additional account. I'll look for the "connection doctor" to try and figure it out.
