Avatar problems

alexachucarro

I'm 1/4 Basque you know?...
I have my .gif but I have no idea how to size it down to 50x50 and keep it an animated .gif.

And why are they called Avatars? That means God/King/Ruler

... for the resizing i'd try graphic converter, that ought to do the trick ... you can get it from versiontracker

as for the meaning of avatar:

Avatar \Av`a*tar"\, n. [Skr. avat[^a]ra descent; ava from + root
t[.r] to cross, pass over.]
1. (Hindoo Myth.) The descent of a deity to earth, and his
incarnation as a man or an animal; -- chiefly associated
with the incarnations of Vishnu.

2. Incarnation; manifestation as an object of worship or
admiration.

it's our 'incarnation' on the net ... :D

Avatar also means an embodiment, I think it fits (though icon is a better name for it given it's actual use).

An avatar is your alter ego in the virtual world.
Better suited to Quake games maybe...

Herr's my gif, i tried changing size. I download loads of apps, all I could do is reduce file size. All I could do with graphic Convertor was reduce the canvas, NOT the actual gif itself.

If anyone could just change the size to the largest possible (ie 50x36 - thats my ratio preserved). And post it back that would be greatly appreciated!!!

Nice one Son. Ta a lot my coffee drinking cousin. Thanks ever so much.

On another note. Do you know of an App that lets you turn a picture into a waving flag. So that I can change anything into a flag?

Specificially? Nopers.

I'd imagine perhaps a 3rd-party Photoshop filter with maybe GIFBuilder/ImageReady would do the trick, but I can't be sure.
