Battery won't charge.

Hello all,
I have a 17" MBP which landed in my lap after being dowsed with coffee. It was cleaned up, HD was taken out of it to retrieve the data, and it did not give any signs of life.
After charging a battery in a different MBP, I managed to get a boot. Put a new HD in, installed OSX, everything looks perfect, and then realized that the battery is not charging.
Magsafe is glowing green, status is showing that battery is not charging. I tried to reset PMU without success. Once the battery discharges the MBP shuts down, will not work from its power supply.
Any suggestions before I give up and put this thing on auction, please?

Would have to say that sounds like the logic board took a hit from the coffee, and the power conduits are bad. If you can get your hands on a DC inverter unit for that specific refresh, then maybe... That would be the only thing I could come up with that MIGHT help. Be a PITA to put in, but should be pretty cheap if you can find a place that sells them. Minimal risk at this point.

The Macbook Pros have a dc-in/sound board. It's either the dc-in/sound board or the logic board itself. You should almost be able to visually tell which it is by taking it apart and looking for the traces of liquid. Might want to try another AC adapter to be sure. Liquid and lappies don't mix. I see it at least once a week.

I see no traces of liquid anywhere at all :(
I'll give a shot to a different AC adapter, but that's about it, I am not going any further, to me it's just not worth it, someone's getting it for parts.
Thanks, everyone, for your help!
