Can't find mail application on Imac

Could anyone tell me how I could possibly lose my mail application from my desktop and my hard drive? It is nowhere to be found, (for me anyway). I have all other applications showing in the "applications" folder except Mail.
Can it be reinstalled with out reinstalling the whole OS 10? I am currently running OS 10.2.8.

You can use Pacifist to extract Mail from your discs.

Do you mean my original OS 10 disc's? What is pacifist? A software package?

Use your 10.2 disc.
Pacifist is a program that will search the CD and allow you to extract programs from it.

You might also try searching for "Mail.app" in spotlight search in case you've inadvertantly dragged it into another folder.
