clean osx 10.1 reinstall..

I would like to do a complete reinstall on my iMac, but am unsure how. Do I use the 4 'software restore' disks that I used when I first bought my mac, or can I use the single mac install disk. Also, I would like to partition my HD - any reccommendations of into how many and what for (i don't really use OS9/classic)

3 - 5 G for classic, not more as you don't use it..

the normal installation disk should work.

I want to totally erase my hard drive and reinstall the os leaving no trace so I can start from scratch. Will the install disk do this??

Yep. When the installer has loaded from the CD, select "Open Disk Utility" in the File menu
