I m running mac os x server. i have a domain name. and i also created ns1.domainname.com and ns2.domainname.com pointed to my static ip from my registrar. my question is how will i configure these setups to my sysytem? I want my computer to be dns servers and the web server. everyhing works fine if you enter the ip address instead of the domain name. For example 121.121.121.121 works but www.domainname.com doesnt work. how will I make it work? please be as detailed as possible.

You could set up your own DNS (instructions can be found in this thread ), or save yourself the hassle & use ZoneEdit. You can manage the DNS records for up to 5 domains for free through a convenient browser-based interface. I've been using them for about a year now & they are completely reliable. Detailed instructions can be found on the site. Even if you intend to get your own DNS running, you can use them until yours works.
