hi,

got a very strange problem with my text in applications / sys prefs etc . Heres a example picture:

Any ideas at all, buggered if I know!

this is often affected by various haxies. Have you installed any theming software on your system?
Does your text in menus change after a logout/reboot?
 
ive installed a few..APE, fruit menu. It was doing it before these though. I could have installed something previously, just can't remember.

Txt doesn't change after logout/reboot...it stays the same. Is there any location where it OSX would keep information on txt display, if I could get a list maybe I could find out what was installed.

Download and install Tinkertool and use it to change your system font, and see how many places you can see the new font. Be sure to choose a font that you can differentiate easily from the default, like Courier or Wide Latin. If you already have Tinkertool, try uninstalling it and see if that clears up the mess.
