I am trying to make a favicon for a website i am planning to have ready to launch in a few weeks, and i am hitting the wall.

i know it is just fluff, but it is pretty cool too.

i found one app in versiontracker, but it does not seem to be doing the trick.

any ideas?

Have you tried GraphicConverter? It seems to read/write every damn format known to man.. including several esoteric ones. It might be able to output your icon files. It's one of those programs that screams to be registered, it's THAT useful.
