I'm trying to install Mac os X Tiger "on the MacBook Air 11, I do not have a CD / DVD Original For Mac os X Tiger, but I have a copy of Mac os X from my friend.
Previously on my Mac os X, already terisntall Mac os x 10.5. Then I do errase Partitioning hard drive and then I do Free Space Errase.
Then I run Mac os X 10.4 to do a fresh installing, when the system restarts and then entered the process of Installing and select the Languages For Installing, System Says "Mac os X Can not Istalled in this Computer" ..
My Question: What should I do. So I can Fresh Install Mac os x Tiger in Hardisk Machintos

Is this disk Grey or black. I ask because the Grey disks are coded for the Mac that came with that Mac. Is will not work on other macs AT ALL!!!

You "upgrade" for Mac the 10.5.x disk you have better be the retail version (this is a black colored disk).

If I recall correctly, OS X 10.4 Tiger was discontinued before the MacBook Airs ever came into production, that alone would negate any chance of installing it,.
Normally you cannot install any operating system on an Apple computer that is older then what the computer originally shipped with.

The MacBook Air comes with reinstall media, and it's not an optical disk.
The only other method to reinstall OS X on your MacBook Air, is to have a version that will work.
If your OS X installer disk is black, it's too old, and cannot be made to work, it's not possible.
You need the original install media that came with the Air, which is a USB flash stick.
Or, install from an external DVD drive - or a remote install from another computer, (which doesn't have to be a Mac.)
You will also need a Snow Leopard installer, and that installer will have to be newer than 10.6.4 (which, I think, does not exist yet) It will not be a black disk, but will be white, with the Snow Leopard graphic on the label.
You cannot install an older version of OS X than what came with the Air originally.

Your computer came with the USB thumbdrive with the Apple logo on it. Insert that and hold down the option key (alt) when starting up. From there, everything should become clear by reading menus, options etc. Disk Utility will let you partition or erase the "harddrive" (SSD), the installer will let you install the system (10.6.x, Snow Leopard) on your MacBook Air 11". There currently isn't a retail version of the Snow Leopard DVD that'll work, because all the retail sets are older than the machine in front of you.
