Yep, it'll plug right in if you have an open plug on the main ATA buss. Just remember to change the jumper for whatever position you install it; one must be set for Master, the other as Slave.
Be aware though that many Maxtor drives have been problematic; I've replaced four in Macs I maintain because they've developed problems since the machines were placed in service. Maxtor'll give new ones under the warranties, but I'm not convinced the new are any better than the old.
